Decoding the Dinner Table

This season, Life Launch's most requested workshop is Decoding the Dinner Table — now offered in-home.

Our goal isn't to make sure kids know which spoon is for soup. It's to make sure they can sit down anywhere — a fancy bar mitzvah, a friend's family holiday, Chipotle — and know how to show respect to themselves, their companions, and any service staff, all while actually enjoying the meal and the company.

We host a real dinner party. Kids learn how to set the table, where to sit, when to eat, and how to pass and share food. We teach the strictest forms of etiquette — and just as importantly, how to read the room and follow house rules when the setting is more relaxed. We also teach what it means to be a good host: making guests feel comfortable, extending grace when someone doesn't keep their bread on the bread plate. When a mistake happens, we call it out in a fun way — never a shaming one.

That's the whole Life Launch philosophy: give kids the real-world reps now, so they're not figuring it out for the first time when the stakes are actually high.
